THE INDIAN POET

Poetry is rhythmic flow of intense feelings and thoughts

An Agreement Between Devil and God

Written By: Mohanchand
I told hunters to tie
That tiger in a cage
And to starve it to
Bring down its rage.

I slowly went near
When it was weak
I poured some water
When it was meek.
Between me and hunters
There was an agreement.

Hopes haunted me
Devils grilled me
Till my ego was crumbled.
Then came God
To console me
When my ego was humbled.
Between God and devil
There is an agreement.
